Serving our Seniors with Honor and Respect... One Need at a Time!

About Serving our Seniors NC

Serving Our Seniors - NC is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization focused on providing low, or no-cost services to low income "in-home" Seniors, 65 and older and and disabled veterans living in North Carolina. SOS-NC derives both its physical resources and financial support from the philanthropic giving of both volunteers and donors alike.  We are governed by a board of directors who share one common goal and that is to enable its community's seniors to hold onto their few remaining dreams and stay in their homes as long as possible.

SOS-NC was formed partly in response to Devine Inspiration and partly due to the founder's personal exposure to his 92 year old mother's declining abilities and observation of the great lack of social, non-profit or other programs available to assist these seniors that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Our Mission Statement is only exceeded by our Vision that all communities will step up to the challenge of taking care of their own.  The sad truth of the matter is that by 2028 these target groups will exceed 80 MILLION people in the USA alone.  Our government is not only unable to respond, but in my humble option, shouldn't be expected to respond to this crises.  As a Christian I, and our Board of Directors are inspired by the 4th Commandment that we honor our Father and Mother.  It is my belief that this effort is an extension of that commandment and is the very essence of what Jesus meant when he answered who our mother and father, brother and sister are, when He said they are anyone in need around us. (Matt: 12:48-50)   If you would like to learn more about how you can help us expand our efforts in your community, or how we can help you develop an outreach effort of your own, please don't hesitate to contact us via email at servingourseniorsnc@gmail.com

Serving Our Seniors - NC greatly depends on our community"s involvement in helping us support our seniors, from receiving donations by individuals, local companies and churches to physical participation from our local college seniors, other non-profit groups, local companies who have philanthropic programs  and individuals young and old alike, who simply see the need and believe in our mission statement.
